Mrs Lorna Grace Okotto

Short Biography:
Lorna Grace Okotto joined Centre for Environmental Strategy at the University of Surrey in September 2006, as a PhD. Research student in the Leverhulme project, an interdisciplinary project looking at the establishment of legal frameworks for independent water providers in Kenya and Ethiopia. Lorna has a bachelor's degree in Education (Geography) from Moi University in Kenya and a Master of Philosophy degree in Environmental Planning and Management from the School of Environmental Studies also of Moi University Kenya. Lorna has worked in several capacities and was working for Victoria Institute for Research on Environment and Development (VIRED-International) as a projects coordinator prior to joining Centre for Environmental Strategy.
Lorna is supervised by Dr Steve Pedley, Dr Jonathan Chenoweth and Professor Rosalind Malcolm.
Research Interests:
Lorna's research interest are on issues related to water with particular interest on access to water by the poor and vulnerable, including water policy and regulation and how they affect access to water supply by the poor
